Resulting from recent wandering through theme park Planet Earth, Wandering showcases new artworks from South Coast artists Malcolm King and Julie McKenzie and includes new paintings, prints and photographs.

A number of the etchings, aquatints and lino blocks were developed with renowned printmaker Basil Hall on the Aegean island of Skopelos in July. Participating in Basil's brilliant 'Printmaking in Paradise' workshop was a great opportunity to learn new skills and to work with one of Australia's leading printmakers.

The workshop experience was a major highlight in an extended journey that included Thailand, Greece, Spain and France.

The works in the exhibition reflect on these experiences and explore western and non-western approaches to both spiritual and secular art. Many focus on the similarities that unite cultures, as well as their differences and distinctions. Some revel in the decorative, while others have created challenging images from often contradictory universal themes. Others reflect on contrasting landscapes, cultural icons, people, sights, sounds and textures.

Exhibition launch is 2pm Saturday 24th September at the Artists Deli, downstairs at The Milk Factory, 33 Station Street, Bowral.
